This past week Jay and I have been using a combination of Maps, Census and City Directories to find the modern name for the old Caribou road called the Venning Road. We used the 1895 Caribou Directory that is a complete index to Residents, Businesses, Streets, etc of Caribou with other useful information. The road name was changed over time to the Albair Road.
The Survey maps done by the Hardison family surveyors are now stored in the basement of the Caribou Library. The maps can be used to help in locating family members and their neighbors (and perhaps an unknown family).
As summer gets to full gear, it is time to plan for fall genealogy trips. Review your family group sheets and plan to track down a few missing people or information.
Now is the time to re-set your game plan. Focus on having a great rest of summer. Enjoy the Sun but keep an eye for Fall hunting trips for the missing info.
