The shelves in the library are rapidly filling up, we have been doing more organizing and placing some more of the previously donated books out as they have been labeled and cataloged. Many books now have an index, thanks to Wendy, who made them, and Jay, who printed copies for our use.
Echoes Magazines are sorted by date, and the binders they go in are cleaned of all old identification and glue residue and will have new labels affixed for easier identification.
On April 12, The Caribou Homemakers Extension group toured the entire library. Our Archives were prepped, and Wendy and I gave a guided tour. They were amazed – some shocked – to learn all that is available for research here. They were attentive, and we answered many great questions. Their comments were very favorable, resulting in more donations. We believe this will prompt others to come and see what we have to offer.
Requests for help from outside Caribou are still being received.
