We have had a two-month vacation from our monthly meetings after a tour in June of the Stockholm Historical Society building. It was very informative, and I need to go back again because there was so much to observe in such a short time.
This past spring, I took Dennis to a softball ball game in Madawaska, where I was working alone. As we were coming into Madawaska, he commented about a cemetery sign he just saw that was not listed on our Aroostook County burial location list. So in July, we took another trip to Madawaska and viewed the cemetery and got the GPS readings for it.
Also, I received an email from a third cousin in Arizona a few weeks ago. They wanted more information from me on the Savage family. In communicating back and forth, he informed me that I had a descendant that came over on the Mayflower by the name of John Howland, my 9th great-grandfather.
Hope to see you all on Monday, August 22nd, to hear what you have found in your tree this summer, other than birds and leaves.
