Another good reason for doing your family tree is so that when you’re reading the newspaper and look at ‘Today In History’ you’ll know what your ancestors were doing.
On this date (Dec.13th) in 1621 the first furs were sent back to England aboard the ship Fortune. This was done under the care of Robert Cushman. Not my ancestor….
On Jan.5th 1643 Anne Clarke was given a divorce from her husband Denis Clarke. This was the 1st divorce in the American colonies.
