Are you planning to attend the MGS Conference in Brewer on September 17th? They remind us to register soon. ACGS will have a vendor table there to sell our publications and some duplicate books from our library.
Linda has just finished a major rearranging of three, 3-ring binder notebooks of Aroostook Republican Newspaper articles. They begin January 1977 and go to December 1987 and include obituaries plus other items of interest to genealogists. We will index these latest 3 books before they go on the shelves.
Over the years, Linda has spent a great deal of time and her materials getting newspaper articles organized and printed for our group. The newspapers included The Bangor Daily, Star Herald, Aroostook Republican, St. John Valley Times and a few odd ones as well. She has done much other work as well including printing books. Our ACGS group recognizes your valuable work and says Thank-you Linda.
Our annual open house-potluck meal will be on August 21 at Jay’s. He will post the time of day.
