I couldn’t figure out why the aunt was not in the 1940 census in Eagle Lake. As we talked later when we were done going over the family papers and photos she had, I found out why she wasn’t listed. She mentioned that she and her sisters all went to convent school in Ste. Agathe instead of a school closer to home. I suspect they had the funds to do so but, I also learned from a friend that they could just keep handing their school uniforms down and not have to worry about clothes as much.
