Gleanings from the NEHGS e-newsletter…

The NEHGS along with the Congregational Library and Archives, the Phillips Library of the Peabody Essex Museum and the Conn Conference of the United Church of Christ have received a grant to digitize early NE Congregational Church records and make them available on line. This would include church members, VR, pastors’ correspondence and more.

The NEHGS has a list of used and remaindered books that you might want to check weekly. Who knows, you might find a bargain. It’s quite an assortment and not just NE or USA specific.

There was an article on an 82 year old woman who met her 96 year old birth mother. It was a 20 year search by the woman’s granddaughter.
