Does anyone have information on the WILSON family found in the 1850 census of Hodgdon as follows: James WILSON (age 40 b. Ireland), and wife Esther (age 30 b. Ireland) with children Esther and Thomas (ages 3 and 1, born in ME), are living next door to Robert WILSON (age 70 b. Ireland) and wife Nancy (age 60 b. Ireland). Next to Robert and Nancy are Samuel RHODY (age 44 b. Ireland) and wife Jane (age 34 b. Ireland) and their seven children, ages 2 – 17, the oldest of whom is Mary Ann (1833-1858 b. New Brunswick). Her siblings were b. ME. This Mary Ann RHODY/RHODA is my 2x great grandmother who married John WILSON of Houlton. My questions are who is the neighbor James WILSON? And what is his wife Esther’s maiden name? Is James a son of his next-door neighbor Robert WILSON, sister to Jane? Samuel RHODA’s wife, Jane, is the daughter of the Irish-born neighbor Robert WILSON. Lastly, does anyone have birth or death records for Mary Ann RHODA? She died young in Hodgdon, after the birth of my great grandmother Lily Jane WILSON (1857-1933). Thank you!
