Roy C. and Mary E. Drake lived in Woodland Maine (Woodland Center Road ?), then in Caribou Maine (Old Washburn Road ?). They had 10 children (Forrest, Leo, Eben, Granville, Roy, Ralph, Charles, Lois, Tressa and Mary. Tressa was my mother. I am heading to Caribou in a couple weeks to see where my mother grew up as a child. I am hoping to visit the Snowman School House and perhaps the areas where she lived. My understanding is that they were quite poor, my grandfather owned land on Old Washburn Road from 1932 to 1933, their son Leo drowned in November of 1918 when he was sliding and went into the Aroostook River and his body was found in April of 1919 (I believe).
Any information that anyone could provide would be greatly appreciated.

Died November 17, 1918 in Caribou Leo Drake 5y 10m 6d b. Caribou drowning s/o Roy Drake b. Caribou and Mary Farrar b. Houlton. H.W. Perry Town Clerk, Fort Fairfield. Place of burial Houlton.
NOTE: this was in the chronological order of November 1918 not April 1919. Assumption by me is because someone saw him go into the river they recorded his death then because he surely could not have survived. In one census the family was living on the Ft. Fairfield Road in Caribou-this follows the river. His body must have been found in Ft. Fairfield since the clerk from there is on the record.]
There is another child for this couple buried in Evergreen Cemetery Caribou. Leonard Drake died/buried November 19, 1927
