My great grandfather was Perry Dean of Fort Fairfield. In searching for records on Perry, I have found both his birth record and his marriage record to Cora Wright on www.familysearch.org and on www.ancestry.com. Both records indicate his father was George Dean and his mother was Carri(e) Devoe (or Bevoe). However, I have come to the conclusion that these two people were not his actual biological parents. Instead, his biological parents were John Cyr/Sears, son of Joseph Cyr/Sears and Esther (Hafford) Cyr/Sears of Limestone, and Martha J. Dean, daughter of George Dean and Maria(h) (Smith) Dean of Fort Fairfield. My analysis and conclusions are based on traditional genealogical research, along with DNA testing and matching, and are outlined in a document that I have prepared.
