Organizational work is continuing in our Archives. I had a personal collection of Bangor Daily News, dating from 1943 to 1948, though not complete years. Currently, Allen is currently putting together a book of the obituaries from Central and Northern Aroostook persons. This will be a separate book for those years with an index.
Sometime in the future, we plan to compile the WWII soldier’s news including all of Aroostook County. If you have such news items in your possession, may we copy them for this edition?
We were contacted by a lady who is doing a biographical sketch of all American soldiers who are buried in the Henri Chapelle American Cemetery in Belgium. One of these soldiers is Everett L. Green, born Perham, listed from Caribou. I found some information on him for her, and she has sent a copy of his death military file to be included with our work.
